Chelsea Lovelace, a plaintiff in a prior federal lawsuit against music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, has filed a second complaint—this time in Florida state court. The suit, filed on June 27, 2025, in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Miami-Dade County, alleges sexual battery, physical assault, psychological coercion, and a civil conspiracy carried out over a nearly four-year period.
The complaint accuses Combs of orchestrating an organized and sustained campaign of abuse, including drugging, surveillance, and financial control. It names not only Combs personally, but also corporate entities under his direction, including Sean Combs LLC, Bad Boy Records, and Combs Enterprises LLC. The plaintiff also seeks damages from a group of unnamed defendants listed as Does 1 through 20 and various Doe corporations.
According to the complaint, the abuse began around November 2020, following Lovelace’s alleged introduction to Combs during a trip to Turks and Caicos. The lawsuit characterizes the conduct as part of a broader pattern of premeditated abuse allegedly facilitated by Combs’ staff and business partners.
Lovelace is pursuing claims for sexual battery, battery, intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress, invasion of privacy, and civil conspiracy. These claims mirror those raised in her prior federal filing in New York but broaden the legal scope by invoking Florida state jurisdiction and naming additional corporate defendants.
The new complaint could complicate ongoing litigation, as Lovelace’s legal team now pursues claims across two jurisdictions. Legal analysts suggest that the multi-jurisdictional approach may strengthen the plaintiff’s chances of preserving at least one viable case as procedural challenges unfold.
As of now, Combs has not responded to the Florida complaint. The case has been filed under civil general jurisdiction and is expected to trigger discovery proceedings once a response is entered. The docket is not yet fully available online, but filings indicate it was e-filed at 2:55 PM on June 27, 2025, under filing number 226204795.
This lawsuit marks the 64th civil action brought against Combs since 2023, underscoring the growing volume of legal scrutiny surrounding the music executive’s past conduct. Both federal and state courts will now play a role in determining the legal exposure he faces.
