When climate disasters displace people, the law does not move with them. It is the outcome the system is built to produce.
Climate shocks expose the fragility of justice systems. As courts, policing, and legal access falter, gender-based violence rises in the absence of accountability. Ensuring people-centred access to justice is not ancillary to climate response. It is a prerequisite for protecting women and girls.
Gender-Based Violence goes together with mental health. Without proper mental health support, the brave survivors struggle even more to recover.
